Scarlett Ojeda is a Finance Assistant at the National Police Foundation, supporting the Director of Finance and Administration. She graduated in Spring 2020 from the University of the District of Columbia with a degree in finance. Prior to joining the National Police Foundation, Scarlett was the Program Coordinator and Finance Assistant for Friends of Puerto Rico, an NPO based in Washington, D.C., which supports the economic development of the people of Puerto Rico through entrepreneurial initiatives, education, and the creation of opportunities for women and girls.
Scarlett has several years of experience working in the finance field overseeing project budgets and tracking expenses, performing bookkeeping tasks, AP processing, serving as a forensic accountant intern, credit card reconciliation, and working in QuickBooks and Bill.com. She also has a native proficiency in Spanish from her childhood in Chile. She moved to the United States in 2013 to learn English and pursue her career.
