Jane Mott-Palmer is the Chief of Staff for the National Policing Institute. Jane comes to the National Policing Institute with a vast range of experience.  Before joining NPI in 2020, she served as the Global Head of Business Services at Eurasia Group, a global political risk firm. In this role, she oversaw business operations and the business operations team on a worldwide scale. In addition, she served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman, who was also the Head of Research. During her tenure, she streamlined internal processes across the shared services platform. She implemented new technologies and strategies that enhanced the firm’s overall efficiency and effectiveness in servicing the firm’s clients. Jane partnered with Human Resources to address cultural challenges within the firm and served on the Diversity, Performance Management, and Operations Management committees.

Before Eurasia Group, Jane was the Chief Human Capital Officer at the Plastics Industry Association, overseeing the entire Human Resources function and Office of the President. During her time at PLASTICS, she streamlined and created internal practices that addressed long-standing cultural and operational deficiencies. She worked closely with the Board of Directors and its leadership to drive the association’s goals for the entire North American plastics industry. In this position, Jane also established and executed the Executive Forum activities held at NPE, the industry’s triennial trade show, the third largest in the country.

Before political risk and manufacturing, Jane held positions with non-profits focused on providing educational access to the poor and immigration, advocacy, and government contract work with various law firms.

Utterly unrelated to her current career path, Jane studied vocal music at Ithaca College and pursued an international operatic career for 15 years. Jane currently resides in Maryland with her husband, David, a retired Marine Corps officer, daughters, Anya and Leah, and beloved Lab mix, Breezy.
