Sergeant Villanueva has worked investigations for 10 years and patrol for 13 years. He also worked in custody for over 2 years. Sergeant Villanueva has worked in the following special assignments: Major Crimes Investigator, General Investigator, Yolo County DA Investigator, Gang Detective/Investigator, Narcotic Detective, FBI Safe Streets, US Marshal Task Force, Career Criminal Apprehension Team (CCAT), and on a Parole Impact Team out of the East Bay. He was the expert on the first Norteno Gang Injunction in the Country. He has a Doctorate Degree in the Philosophy of Business, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice out of Northcentral University. He is also on his second year of law school out of Northwestern University. Sergeant Villanueva is currently assigned as a supervisor in the Sacramento Main Jail.
