Aisha Jamil is the Lead Editor and Content Developer at the National Police Foundation. In this position, she plays a vital role in supporting the Foundation’s development, marketing, and dissemination efforts.
Prior to working at the National Police Foundation, Aisha worked as a Sr. Editor for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics where she helped innovate their publications program and played a fundamental role in launching the organization’s scholarly journal, Mathematics Teacher: Learning Teaching PK—12. From 2012 to 2019, Aisha worked at the American Public Health Association as an associate production editor for the American Journal of Public Health, helping promote public health science and research.
A longtime resident of Northern Virginia, Aisha graduated from George Mason University with a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in communications. For the last decade, Aisha has held various positions in writing, editing, research, and public relations. In her spare time, she enjoys going on long walks with her Great Dane, reading true crime, and writing her novel.
