Elyse (Ellie) Hansen is a project associate at the National Policing Institute supporting local law enforcement projects. She graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2020 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. She will be receiving her Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at Seattle University in the Spring of 2022. As a graduate student, Elyse provided research to the Office of Law Enforcement Oversight in Seattle focusing on police mental health responses and the efficacy of crisis intervention training across the country.
