Law enforcement and first responder personnel require new technology to protect the public and perform their duties effectively and efficiently. Nonetheless, law enforcement and related agencies cannot afford to hire full-time scientists, engineers, and technologists to develop and manage technology deployments. As a result, a wide range of law enforcement officers and civilians are given the responsibility for executing technology programs on behalf of their agencies but lack the training to make the best informed plans and decisions.
In cooperation with Cotter Research, Inc. and Police Foundation, this webinar represents a pilot effort in providing this type of training to law enforcement and other first responder personnel. Participants will receive an introduction to the science and technology of policing, including requirements development, systems engineering, and an overview of information systems, weapons and protective systems, investigative technology and related technologies.
All participants must register for this no cost 12 September 2013 webinar. Registration will remain open until capacity is reached, so register as soon as possible.
