The Police Foundation, in conjunction with Local Initiatives Support Corporation, is sponsoring the Safe Streets, Strong Communities symposium January 15th, 2014.

Description

When community developers and police join forces, crime goes down and neighborhoods grow stronger. Please come and hear how it works at a symposium on January 15, 2014 presented by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and the Police Foundation.

HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan will make keynote remarks.

Drawing on LISC’s 20-year history of forging local alliances, additional presenters will share examples of strategic safety partnerships and examine how advocates for public health, housing and economic development can more effectively work together with law enforcement and criminal justice leaders to improve neighborhood safety and wellness.
